That is weird seeing as though they don't expect Dak Prescott to be out much longer and don't plan on putting him on Injured reserve. Also, if they needed another QB, why not bring back Ben DiNucci?
Da Nooce sucks. That why
Still, I don't get why the Cowboys brought in 3 QB's when they have no plans on putting Dak Prescott on injured reserve. They already have one other QB on the active roster and another on the practice squad that they can activate two more times without having to sign him to the active roster. The Cowboys are hopeful that Prescott will be back in week five.
Teams will often work players out at positions that are not of immediate need, just to evaluate some free agents and continue building their emergency list in case something happens down the line. It may have nothing to do with their current situation.

Exactly what the Seahawks did trying out a whole bunch of dudes on paper they didn't need in 2015. Sure enough, they had a slew of injuries at the end of the year and would need them--one of those being "Top Dolla" A.J. Francis

Damn, to think that him and Smackdown's on-leave commentator were both active in the NFL seven years ago. Life comes (and goes) fast.................
