League could have Jersey/Philly in Canton already clinched next week. It'd be in their best interest to have at least the NO/TB rematch in week nine mean something cause the two weeks at Legion could be brutal.
XFL1.0 got a bunch of a people going full dumbass over using the cross-pairings the AFL had in 1968-69. That wouldn't be a bad setup to go back and use now (not advocating it, just if it wasn't locked in) considering the above and the possible negative ratings effect for the last few weeks.

I did not think Pitt should have started Lee, but did expect him to play a fair amount. Needs more practice
NOLA would be ready for him so I'd started Lauletta
Two exciting games, this not so much

And this is where of an eight-team league only three at most being main event TV is problematic. Sure the NFL has roughly the same ratio of TV stars, but at least most of the other 20-24 have something to work with, that and they're only showing up on Amazon or ESPN (or CBS/FOX Thanksgiving) once, the rest are regional games.
Which is also making the case for it.

It is what it is - from AAF>XFL>TSL>USFL nature of beast. Pitt made mistake starting Lee. He needs more practice. And they were anticipating him. Lauletta would have been a change up pitch.MGB01 wrote: ↑Sun May 22, 2022 1:21 pm And this is where of an eight-team league only three at most being main event TV is problematic.
