Continuing a theme from another thread, if NBC hired Stephen A away from ESPN:

"Yeah that was good from Miles Austin, but the Cowboys need more. I mean did you see that sideline? They need to go get Dez Bryant! Somebody! TOM LANDRY AIN'T HAVIN THAT!!!!!!! And as far as the San Diego Chargers go! They need Hunter Henry to stop stealing paychecks and GET ON THE FIELD!!!!!!!!!"

Of course they'd also need Tedy Bruschi facial expressions

They won't do that. I don't think NBC will allow shouting during Football Night in America, especially when there's the calm Tony Dungy. Even Florio is super calm when he's on the Football Night in America set because of the presence of Coach Dungy. Stephen A Smith would have to stop shouting for an hour and he can't do that. Dungy is the exact opposite of Smith and all of those NFL folks at ESPN, who like to yell. Coach Dungy though is perfect for Jason Garrett.

Edit: the only time Coach Dungy shouts is if Football Night in America is out on the field and he has to shout through loud music to get his point across.

>> Soon, all three plaintiffs in the Brian Flores lawsuit could be head coaches again.

Flores may be the next Cardinals coach. Steve Wilks could become the non-interim coach of the Panthers. And Ray Horton is now the head coach of the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers.

The spring league announced on Tuesday that Horton will replace Kirby Wilson as the head coach of the team.

“We are thrilled Ray Horton is joining the USFL family as the new Pittsburgh Maulers Head Coach,” USFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Darryl Johnston said in a release. “He helped the Steelers win two Super Bowls as an assistant coach, so Pittsburgh football fans know him. He also won a Super Bowl as a player and my teammate on the 1992 Dallas Cowboys. Ray is a great leader and an even better person, and I’m excited to be teammates with him once again.”<<

PFT: USFL Panthers Fisher out Nolan in

Post by 4th&long »

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2 ... -panthers/

>> “I have made the tough decision to step away from coaching in the USFL to spend more time with my family, including our five grandbabies, and enjoying my semi-retirement to the fullest,” Fisher in a press release.

Fisher will be replaced by former 49ers head coach Mike Nolan.

“We are honored to welcome Mike Nolan to the USFL family as the new head coach of the Michigan Panthers,” Executive Vice President of Football Operations Daryl Johnston said in a press release. “When Coach Fisher informed us that he needed to step down, we immediately started the challenging process to find another experienced, charismatic leader to replace him while at the same time, create excitement for Michigan Panthers players and fans as we open our Detroit Hub to start USFL Year Two. Mike was the perfect fit for that role. He has coached for more than 30 years in the NFL. His extensive football knowledge and coaching experience will maximize his players’ talents and help them succeed at the professional level. We couldn’t have found a better fit for the Michigan Panthers and the USFL.” <<
