The draft buzz and lack of NFL news has apparently helped the league, USFL twitter followers has jumped in the last week and few days as has Twitter USFL tweets. Between the league and teams they look to be over 220k followers on twitter, big increase and 52 days till season opener.
Tons of News stories big and small press/media today.
Draft day round two while not having QBs does have WR's and RB's - smart move by USFL.

It's happening....!

The flat pay scale is going to help them in the WR/RB department. That might be where they get a few more recognizable names (that and RBs get chewed up and spit out by the NFL like they're Fruit Stripe gum, so there's bound to be some opportunity to make a splash there).

How does this compare to where the XFL was before the season? I know it blows the AAF out of the water, but I can't remember how the XFL was doing this far out.

Not entirely apples to apples here based on the much longer XFL runway, but according to the below, XFL’s main Twitter account had about 174K followers; the main USFL today is in the mid 80’s

I don’t have the inclination to the do the same lookup for the individual teams, but I looked at socialblade for the Battlehawks as well and at about the same preseason spot they had close to the same amount of followers the Michigan Panthers do today, which I found interesting.

According to the dates on this link (cool link btw) XFL had 194k followers in Feb 2020. So the USFL is 112k behind the XFL with 2 months to go, using April 2022 as comparable. XFL was in more major cities (22% of usa housesholds) vs USFL 16%, so XFL had that going for them. USFL has FOX promotion going full bore going for it on their side. I think USFL can match XFL by April 30. USFL picked up 43k from 2-14 to 2-24

Right, sorry, I should have clarified the number I gave was XFL’s at comparable time preseason to where USFL is now.

It’ll be interesting to see what it looks like as the season goes on. XFL started right after the SB and touted “innovative” game play rules, where USFL in terms of play much more similar to NFL, and also the April start.

Based on the SocMedia reaction I'm thinking this new XFL logo and regurgitated video saying the same VS stuff since 2020, I think this actually helps the USFL
