Between the USFL and XFL is it fair to say this is the best backing we’ve seen from spring football. Also I love Fox’s exec team. Really like the XFLs as well, I think the leaderships strong for both

My only concern is that I don't want XFL to step on USFL's toes. Like AAF rushing to beat XFL and making bad biz decisions. USFL's Woods runs a tight ship so I expect they will run a cost effective league. If XFL does play I hope its not when USFL does or they end up merging/working together.

Ya I think we’re going to see head to head competition which I don’t love. I will say I’m not worried the xfl will step on their toes just because there’ll be Friday games for USFL which is usually when wwes on so that and the execs announced makes me feel fox is all in

I think it's inevitable the leagues play at or around the same time. Even if they don't, the league with the best pay and benefits will receive the best players. Will this create a bidding war between the USFL and XFL? Perhaps. There's a finite amount of quality football players out there, with 16 potential football league teams, I'm afraid of what those bottom 6-8 quarterbacks will look like.

I honestly believe there’s enough talent to support both. TSL showed there’s plenty of talent out there. Plus I’ve heard cfl is planning to cut salaries again because the covid hit so there’s a good shot some players/coaches leave depending on how bad the cuts are

Playing dates: I'm not sure there will be much overlap, esp now that USFL staked out mid-April thru early July AND AAF/XFL were Feb thru mid-April and where the prior TV ratings for both leagues came. Also I do think TV ratings will be better in Feb/March due to weather.

Its yet to be seen if XFL relaunches, what months they target, if they can get a TV deal, and what financing they really have. Lots of unanswered questions, but..

Bottomline - Spring FB has gotten real interesting again!

It is going to be really interesting to watch the USFL, XFL, and even the MLF's various business models and operational plans develop and get implemented. Which ones will flourish and which ones will falter. Will there be league mergers down the road between any of the three? Which league will have the most innovative rules and the most comprehensive in-game coverage? So many questions and so many possibilities, I can't wait as the next couple of years will be a real alt football wild ride!

Heh, MLF

I can't take seriously a league whose website is 75% investor and SEC (the one that doesn't have anything to do with Bama or UGA) data
