Colts are working out former Spring League Most Valuable Player quarterback Bryan Scott today, according to a league source. Set records at Occidental College, has previously tried out for Rams, Chiefs and Falcons

If Scott got a job it would be (another) a big selling point for TSL. An a good lead off into 2021 spring season... IF they have one.
The Colts signed former Prairie View A&M QB Jalen Morton. While they are probably not done adding more Quarterbacks, it will either be a high draft pick or one of the many veterans out there via trade or free agency.
Not sure what you are saying here but even if Scott makes it into camp, better yet getting a P-Squad spot its a selling point.

The TSL has had many of its former players getting signed in the CFL or getting NFL work outs recently. It adds to TSL credibility and selling point to potential future players. As far as their plans for 2021 who knows, hopefully they have something in the works with FS1.
I am saying is that after signing Jalen Morton as a possible Practice squad guy, the next time the Colts are in the QB market will be for someone who's actually played an NFL game. Scott had a tryout but so did Morton. Apparently the Colts preferred Morton over Scott.

The Colts made an attempt at trying to acquire Matthew Stafford but he went to the LA Rams. They are not going to acquire Deshaun Watson because the Texans won't trade him (despite him wanting out) and if they do, it's not going to be in their own division. Based on the hiring of Nick Siranni, it doesn't look like the Eagles want to trade Carson Wentz. They could make a play for Sam Darnold but he could be swapped out for Watson. The free agency crop isn't great and I think the Colts are hoping that the relationship between Dak Prescott and the Cowboys are strained to the point of no return so that they can sign him to a multiple year contract, something the Cowboys should have done already. After him, there's Jacoby Brissett (who probably won't return to the Colts), Ryan Fitzpatrick, Andy Dalton, Cam Newton, Mitchell Trubisky, Jameis Winston and Alex Smith.

As for the Colts draft, they pick at #21. They could take Mac Jones or Kyle Trask.

Thanks for clarifying. Unfortunate that Scott didn't get the job, but at least he's getting a look.

Watson is now in Diva territory at his salary - good luck, no Hopkins around to make him look like a super star.

Someone will get a real bargain with Winston.

An Arizona news story picking it up:

https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/ ... 391667001/

>> The Cardinals have signed 22-year-old quarterback Cole McDonald to a futures contract for the 2021 season, the team announced on Thursday.

McDonald was a seventh-round draft pick last year out of Hawaii by the Titans, but he was waived during training camp on Aug. 19. He spent time this past fall with the Conquerors of the Spring League, a scouting and developmental league. <<

You know the Cardinals could have the most interesting QB depth chart:

Murray's making noises about playing baseball again, which unlike Russell Wilson are serious cause Murray was a top ten pick.

And if they don't re-sign Brett Hundley or sign another vet free agent, they'll have two quarterbacks who didn't have a preseason to play in (though Streveler still ended up surpassing Hundley, not bad considering CFL QBs haven't exactly been fast-tracked lately, and TSL for all intents and purposes was McDonald's preseason), and then whoever they draft/sign as an undrafted after that.

Cardinal fans want to sign a veteran backup, someone with years of experience.

Wouldn't the Spring League already announce plans for a 2021 season?

I've noticed a lack of activity regarding plans for an XFL 2022 relaunch....is it in the works at all? I know when next weekend arrives, that's when it hits home how much I'll be missing it.

And assuming it does relaunch next year...how would you all feel about the idea of starting the season the week between the NFL conference games and the super bowl? Play week two on Saturday of Super bowl week, then on from there?
