Washington, D.C. - The D.C. Defenders announce a limited number of season tickets for the supporters sections at Audi Field will go on sale to the general public tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The general admission supporters section is home to one of the most recognizable fan-led traditions known as the "Beer Snake". Season ticket packages for these sections, previously available only on a single-game basis, are limited and expected to sell quickly. Season ticket memberships are $25 per game for five games, limited to four tickets per person in these sections, and available on a first come first served basis. Fans can purchase online at xfl.com/tickets.
The "Beer Snake" is a fan-led tradition that began during the 2020 XFL season and was revived as the Defenders kicked-off the 2023 season. At each home game, fans in the supporters sections behind the end zone create a long, winding stack of empty plastic beverage cups in a snake-like formation spanning several stadium rows. The longest reported "Beer Snake" stacked 1,240 cups - enough to reach the top of Audi Field.
The 2023 XFL North Division Champion Defenders will be looking to settle some unfinished business after finishing with a league-best 9-1 regular season record, enroute to an XFL Championship Game appearance. Positions in the supporters sections are safe standing only, not assigned, and first come first served general admission each game for ticket holders. All fans in these sections must agree to adhere to the XFL Fan Code of Conduct. All remaining supporters tickets in the sections will be available on a single game basis.
