Looking good at Halftime. That 56 yard kick just before the halftime was exciting, and a league record!

That was a great game and great atmosphere. As of this morning I am a season ticket holder. I'm all in!

It was a great game and looked to be well attended. Not a season ticket owner as I'm still evaluating the product and I was very pleased with the quality of the broadcast and the overall play for the 1st game of a new league (can only get better).

Would be interested to hear from fans that went to the game as to what the overall experience was like in terms of:

1. Commuting to and from
2. Parking access or metro experience
3. Overall Stadium experience (wifi, scoreboard, viewing, stadium admentments, etc)
4. Benefits of stadium experience vs. TV watching (right now you couldn't pay me money to watch the Redskins and I'm a Redskin lifer)

Anything else you'd like to discuss.

I've been listening to the DoD Pod and the moderators are decent to listen to but they haven't really spent a lot of time discussing the actual game or thoughts on pros/cons of offense and defense, coaching decisions, etc. (I get a health dose of this with the huge amount of Redskin podcasts that are available). Are there any other DCD podcasts that people would suggest?

Drigins never stood a chance. Nice club they've got but the Defenders are looking unstoppable right now.

 Calm down rookie.

The Defenders are the XFL's baby the way the Packers are the NFL's.

I took an Uber from Old Town around 12:30 and had no issues getting there. Traffic slowed a bit on the bridge but that's standard. Outside of that it was fine. Getting an Uber to Arlington afterwards was pretty easy too. I can't speak to parking but, regarding the metro, the Navy Yard stop is an easy walk.

The stadium atmosphere was great, aside from a hammered 23 year old girl sitting behind me constantly screaming "YAY SPORTSBALL!" for laughs. After the 400th time it was not funny. I didn't notice any wifi issues but I wasn't on my phone much. Scoreboard seemed fine, view of the field was great. I don't imagine there's a bad seat in the house in a stadium that size. I know some areas ran out of beer. The food lines seemed to be ridiculously long. Not sure if that's standard for Audi or if they just weren't expecting that big a crowd for the game.

I'm not a Redskins fan but even if I was there's no chance in hell I would ever go to FedEx field. There is nothing around there, the stadium sucks and sucks to get to, and it's empty for home games. I'd say the benefit of watching the Defenders in person is that it's right downtown, easy to get to, with tons of stuff to do pre/post game. The stadium is small, because of that the atmosphere is awesome (at least it was last week), with the crowd almost at capacity and getting really loud and into it. Also, it's incredibly cheap: $15-20 per ticket and makes for a fun Saturday afternoon. I'm not able to go tomorrow but I will be watching it on TV at a bar. I don't imagine bar viewing will compare in anyway to the fun I had last Saturday.

Thanks for the response. I really appreicate it. Having the ability to get in and out via Metro is a big plus. Not to mention the price of the tickets and the bars/restaurants around. Seems like all told this would be a fun way to spend you Saturday without "breaking the bank." I'm hoping the crowd behaviour is also civil. I used to go to the Raven's games with my wife but due to the language and behavior I would feel uncomforatble taking one of my kids.

Also helps that the DCD seem to be one of the better (if not best) team currently in the XFL and seems to be provided quality play. Thinking of hitting up a home game when they come back from their two game trip. Will be interested to see how DCD will handle the playoffs since I believe Audi Stadium is booked at that time.
