Re: XFL Offensive Style

That would be incredible. Here's a fun article: When Sean Payton was banned from the NFL, he coached a Pop Warner team. A team that ran a Single Wing kicked his ass twice. During his Roger Goodell–mandated suspension from the Saints, Payton spent his time coaching his son’s sixth-grade pee wee footb...

Re: QB Watch

With the caveat that picking the quarterback based on his last name would be stupid, here's an impressive Brett Rypien highlight from my Twitter feed:

Re: What the XFL can learn from the AAF?

The FFL haven't released much info so it's hard to know how seriously to take them, but I'm actually intrigued by the concept behind the league. Take them 0% seriously. Unless you mean from the perspective of a pyramid scheme, in which case I would say ... 43% seriously? But as a football league, d...

Re: Majority investor: Alliance of American Football in danger of being discontinued without NFLPA help

The NFL is not blocked by the NFLPA from extending the support necessary to make sure the AAF doesn't go out of business. Look, if and when the NFL wants a developmental league, they'll get a developmental league. I know you're using this article as "proof" of your "fact." http://www.espn.com/nfl/st...

Re: Majority investor: Alliance of American Football in danger of being discontinued without NFLPA help

If it's a fact the NFL is interested in a developmental league, and it's a fact that the AAF represents a good opportunity to make that a reality, surely they will get involved. When that happens, I'll be sure to revisit this thread and eat crow.

Re: Erik A. Moses named President of XFL Team in Washington D.C.

The more I read, the more excited I am. Here's a great piece on the work of Events DC. The focal point is Greg O'Dell, for whom Erik Moses was the right-hand man. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/digger/wp/2015/09/18/meet-the-man-at-the-center-of-d-c-s-booming-sports-industrial-complex/?noredirec...

Re: Majority investor: Alliance of American Football in danger of being discontinued without NFLPA help

I appreciate the summary. I respectfully disagree with both. I hope my position is clear -- the NFL will not and should not throw the AAF a lifeline. Excited to see how it plays out.
