Re: XFL - One year after kick off... and waiting

Everything is hinging on a broadcast deal. (Duh!) We probably won't see anything advance until that is inked and then I suspect, things will be flying. Once the deal is done many of the items already mentioned will fall into place or will be immediately acted upon. It all hinges on TV revenue as we ...

Re: June Jones to return to XFL in 2022...maybe

I have to agree with 4th&Long in the idea that long periods of silence from the ownership group, punctuated with an occasional Rah Rah video is not helping things. While I understand that they may be working diligently behind the scenes and keeping things close to the vest, what they are not doing i...

Re: CFL 2021(?) All aboot our friends up north

It is difficult to come up with anything really original anymore, most names are recycled from previous leagues trams or versions of same. Hopefully they will choose something Edmonton related.I think Extreme or Xtreme has been overused but I do like Express.I suppose that would call for some train ...

Re: CFL 2021(?) All aboot our friends up north

I'm going with the Edmonton Eagles. I realize it's a little mundane and there are the Philadelphia Eagles; however there are the BC lions and besides, there are a ton of Bald Eagles in and around Edmonton in the River Valley.Mascot could be Eddie the Eagle??? Just say'n...

Re: TSL season’s end another black eye for secondary football leagues

I guess that I remain hopeful of an XFL 3.0 in 2022; in fact, I would say that I am optimistic. I can't see this ownership group going off half cocked and buying the league without a great deal of forethought and as was previously posted - a business plan. I also think that it was extremely prudent ...

Re: GP: The Spring League filling gap left behind by the XFL

I have never understood why anyone would think that the NFL ever needed a "developmental league" other than college football; it is beyond me. I looked at the XFl as an entertaining opportunity for post college players to get more film, a higher level of play experience, and one last opportunity to ...
