Re: Tampa Bay Vipers sign suspended NFL WR Antonio Callaway

Agree - very low risk move by the Vipers for a guy that had problems but a lot of talent.

Regarding the character stuff, the substance of it isn't all that different than Will Hill (drafted by STL), except obviously the recent timing.

Re: Los Angeles Wildcats trade Rashad Ross to DC for Tre McBride

There was also a Stacy Coley-Freddie Martino trade between the Renegades and Vipers listed on the transactions page, but those transactions have since been deleted. No tweet of that trade either. I wonder what happened there. For what it's worth I still see the Coley/Martino trade on the transactio...

Re: The XFL’s remaining league announcements

A little surprised myself they haven’t announced the championship game location. I also would’ve expected some degree of merchandise partnerships at this point. Would be great to see XFL items at large scale retail stores. Not sure if some merchandisers are gun shy based on what I assume was a decen...

Re: ST. LOUIS NAMES CHUCK LONG OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR

Most of us expected something like this to happen to at least one of the teams. That it's St. Louis is also likely no surprise. It's unfortunate the Battlehawks have the most unproven roster and coaching staff, because all the talk I've seen is that the city has embraced the XFL thus far and they d...

Re: XFL Rules revealed

Good points Mike. I’d say alongside the rules tied to punting, it’s obviously designed to incentivize teams to go for it on 4th, meaning defenses holding firm on 3rd are more likely to stay on the field. Also, defenses will necessarily be on the field for more plays with the elimination of the extra...

Re: XFL Transactions Page

Probably also worth noting that the roster pages now have player numbers. Would be nice if this was a precursor to having player specific jerseys online - fingers crossed.

Re: Landry Jones out 4-6 weeks after injuring left knee in practice

Somewhat related, I’m sort of surprised that more teams didn’t go to camp with a 4th QB even as just a “camp arm,” in case of these type of issues. I know spots are of a bit more import considering you can only bring 70 to camp vs 90 in the NFL, but it seems odd to see TB with 14-15 receivers on the...

Re: XFL Rules revealed

All in all, pretty happy with these. Pros; 1. Like the lack of coach's challenges. One less thing for coaches to manage (of which I'm sure they're thankful), and no needless decisions about whether challenging is "worth it." The sky judge will really need to be on their toes. 2. One foot in bounds i...

Re: Is there an opening for another pro football league to start up?

Start up, I agree, as long as there is someone with deep enough pockets, it's always possible. I think the other key part is really patience and sustainability. It sounds like Dundon would've indeed had the capital to keep the AAF's proverbial lights on probably into this year, but was unwilling to ...

Re: Should I Get The Wildcats #20 Jersey, Or Should I Wait For Player Jerseys To Be Released?

I’m holding out for player specific as well. Just not sure who to get. The tricky part here to me is the one year contracts, you’d hate to get a jersey of a guy who balls out and leaves for the NFL leaving your jersey a “one hit wonder.” I’m hoping the Starter deal materializes sooner rather than la...
