Re: USFL - XFLnewshub article by Mike M

Most newsworthy bits, IMO: Several sources have indicated to me the genuine possibility that because of the short amount of time remaining for the USFL to set up shop in markets before their 2022 season, and for financial reasons, that the league could decide to play in an expanded hub city model ne...

Re: San Antonio group approaches USFL

Are we reading this as Morris wants to own and operate the team?

Re: CFL to implement revenue sharing

It's not supposed to prove anything and it's obviously not supposed to bring in extra revenue. It's just a measure to improve league stability. And given that the AFL figured this out in the 1960s, a long overdue one at that.

Re: CFL Argo's could leave CFL for US based league

Also, in our new XFL vs. USFL slapfight, poaching THE ACTUAL TORONTO ARGONAUTS completely blows "secures the rights to the old USFL names and logos" out of the water. Holy shit.

Re: CFL Argo's could leave CFL for US based league

I'm definitely forgetting MLFB. I recommend everyone else do the same.

Re: XFL officially delays start until 2023

I can't speak for anyone else on this board but the league that actually fields a team will get my support (and dollars) and right now that is most likely to be the USFL. As should ALWAYS be the case with startup football leagues, believe it when you see it. McMahon was the exception to the rule th...

Re: XFL officially delays start until 2023

You're correct in saying Redbird is more than just the XFL, but the 2 guys they hired are well versed in network contract negotiations. What other properties would they need that help in besides the XFL currently? That's like if your car breaks down and and have a mechanic come look at it, perhaps ...
