Part of Luck's value was being the face of the league rather than McMahon as they sought to distance themselves from 2001. That's not really needed here. CFO makes a lot of sense.
Pretty excited that things are finally starting to move.

Re: San Antonio, TX- XFL Expansion/Relocation Discussion Bonanza
I went to the Apollos-Commanders game -- the crowd was hot. And they were really locked in on the game, much more so than the crowd at the XFL game in DC I made it to. That crowd was fun and lively, but it was more of a "beer snake first, football second" vibe. I thought aesthetically it looked good...

LOL. I apologize, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I appreciate the topic; thank you for starting the thread. We'll have to agree to disagree on what qualifies a market for consideration.

"Anchors" would be a perfect name, as it also works as an allusion to how such a poorly located team would weigh the league down.Rangersking669 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 4:31 pmAnd this is why I said you call the team the Virginia Anchors not the Norfolk Anchors.

Re: Hampton Roads, VA/NC- XFL Expansion/Relocation City Discussion Bonanza
I'm sure the XFL can hold on while they sort it out The XFL is definitely not in a position to be sitting around for five years in a lousy stadium waiting for an appropriate stadium to be built. When a suitable stadium exists, the market can be considered for an expansion/relocated team. Until it d...

Re: Hampton Roads, VA/NC- XFL Expansion/Relocation City Discussion Bonanza
That's assuming the league can't get 30,000 in norfolk(and also, the team is going to have a wider reach than just virginia, we've already seen plenty of people watch the league from out of market). If the NFL can get a team in Jacksonville to work then the XFL can set up a team in Virginia. I'm no...
