Re: TSL MEGA BOWL and Season Ratings

Interesting that the 12:00 start (6/12) drew the most viewers--send this to David Shaw and Joe Castiglione STAT!!!!!!!! I wouldn't want to see a ton of those, not cause of any manufactured concerns, but for any possible negative effects on ratings of staggered starts--maybe the occasional doublehead...

Re: TSL 2> USFL

For historical purposes, opening weekend would be on the anniversary (March 5-6). Realistically/logistically, that's about eight months from next week, might be too short of a window to get anything up and running. I'd do it Final Four weekend, since it's (FF) on cable (worst TV deal ever) and proba...

Re: The Athletic: XFL players to get pennies on the dollar for what they are owed

Based on this Oliver Luck will be lucky to end up with a mil, if that.

Considering he effectively took himself out the running for the Pac 12 job for this suit that makes him the XFL equivalent of Andrew Yang (a Todd Rundgren song comes to mind).

Re: BBJ - Birmingham should pursue USFL for Protective Stadium

As I brought up last week, and in the thread from a year and half ago, Randall Woodfin was one of the first to lobby for an XFL expansion team, and he did with Protective Stadium in mind. Only hangup is you might wanna see it tested out first, and being that teams/venues are going to come in August ...

Re: TSL - MEGABOWL 2021 thread

Ain't got one yet, but here's a fun fact Had the XFL made it to the "X-Bowl" (I've called my sim title game that as will be the case next week), Houston would have hosted three first-year title games (all at different venues) In addition to Rice (TSL) and Robertson Stadium's replacement, T...

Re: Birmingham city council to meet with USFL

Except Parker leans mostly towards Legion Field, which is death. Randall Woodfin on the other hand, lobbied the XFL more with Protective Stadium in mind. From a logistical standpoint, might be worth it to do Legion Field for a year because, much like the GLP experiment with the Renegades, you could ...

Re: Dany Garcia: "We are months from hitting the field..."

Maybe they were both big fans of the Warrior (who went by Rock in his Bladerunner days) and consider it an early career disappointment that he was long gone by the time Rocky showed up. "In my final meeting with the Gods I visualize the power of destrucity in the seventh Warrior's commandment! ...

Re: Former XFL Lawyer at Frost Brown Todd Handling USFL’s Reboot

Wonder if Ehrhart's trying to leverage himself into a job (and/or a team to Memphis), it does bear asking

And he's been GM of both the Mad Dogs and Maniax since he's been running the Liberty Bowl, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Re: Woods, Fox launching USFL in 2022

That could also be technical language, a la WWFE buying the assets of WCW (including the name, the actual company died out under the name Universal Wrestling Corporation a few years back). Of course this would also assume that Alpha assumes ownership of the league to some degree, perhaps the Luck la...
