Re: BUFFALO BILLS possible move - Austin #1 target

Back to the Bills - I don't want the Bills to move but this could play into USFL/XFL decisions on team locations - the lease ends in what a year? This may be a rhetorical question, but their lease ends in 2023. I'm not sure if that means at the very beginning of that year, or if it's after the 2023...

Cleveland MLB team takes the Guardians name

I guess "Spiders" had too much stigma. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/31868331/cleveland-changing-name-indians-guardians But seriously: while it's not totally unheard of for two teams in unrelated sports to share a name (Winnipeg vs. New York Jets, Florida vs. Carolina Panthers, and p...

Thanks for reminding me.

I did a quick search just to see what they're up to and the first thing that comes up is their stock price... hovering at about 2¢ a share!

Re: XFL officially delays start until 2023

We will have 4 years of Spring Alt FB in the USA come next season with the USFL. AAF-2019, XFL-2020, TSL-2021, USFL-2022. I'd say FCF was more the "Spring Alt FB" league of 2021 in terms of attention, star power, and drafting off the end of the NFL season—though they're admittedly their o...

Re: XFL officially delays start until 2023

Starting a whole league in less than a years time is suicide, just ask the AAF or ask Brian Woods come next March. Now with 18+ months they can plan to sell 5k season tickets per market, hire a competent front office staff and marketing team, get a streaming deal and equipment supplier, and also ke...

Re: XFL officially delays start until 2023

As the late Christopher Hitchens once said,"That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence." Sure, Fox is committed to showing the USFL, but what does that mean. Just a few short weeks ago I was able to watch European football (soccer) on Fox, a traveling p...

Bring on XFL 4.0!
The only way I'm bothering with this league is if McMahon buys it back. These clowns are clueless.

Re: XFL officially delays start until 2023

I noticed the word international as well. Perhaps the owners of the Argos, Alouettes, and possibly B.C. Lions are still open to the idea of the XFL. It was going to be hard to convince Winnipeg, Hamilton, and Saskatchewan to give up the CFL. At least we now know the CXFL is dead and buried and the ...

Re: The Athletic: XFL players to get pennies on the dollar for what they are owed

Hasn't the UFPA already completely destroyed its credibility so far with its meddling of the CFL situation? Yes. Honestly, it's really embarrassing, lazy work from The Athletic and Kaplan. The Athletic has its own issues with finances and funding. It's never turned a profit. Axios turned down a mer...
