Re: CFL US TV schedule

ManOnTheMoon wrote: Sun Jun 20, 2021 8:09 pm Does anyone know the cfl TV schedule for the USA?
Likely not decided yet.

Best bet is likely going to be games front-loaded in August (that's when ESPN's schedule is least crowded).

That and Cardale Jones was briefly the Bills' backup as well.

Re: BBJ - Birmingham should pursue USFL for Protective Stadium

The city of Birmingham or it’s fans never seem to be shy about begging for another shot with a new football league. And yet their attendance is usually quite mediocre. Of course, you think about it and most of these other leagues have never really played up that they're a team from Alabama. If it w...

Re: Pitts P-G: Former players hope Maulers get second chance in new USFL

Pittsburgh would be an ideal spot for a league like this. No MLS in the summer, their MLB team is languishing in the basement, and no NBA (they have the Penguins but as the XFL generally showed, pro football and the NHL can coexist). The only issue would be a stadium. Heinz Field is really the only ...

Re: Birmingham city council to meet with USFL

Why would the USFL pass over the newer state of the art stadium in favor of a dump if they went to Birmingham? Price would be the first thing that comes to mind. But even so, usually when a new stadium like this is built, they immediately close the old one as soon as the new one opens and set plans...

More trademarks filed: If nothing else, if they do go with teams in individual markets, sure seems like Austin is going to be one of them. TSL has a longstanding relationship with Austin; they held the 2018 and 2019 seasons there. In fact, "Austin Generals" was one of the names of the 201...

Re: Dany Garcia: "We are months from hitting the field..."

The problem is that it's too late to secure a TV contract for this season at this point, unless they're going to buy the airtime (BAD IDEA). Remember that XFL 2.0 lined up and announced their TV deal in May 2019, which is when the TV networks unveil their schedules. The networks released their sche...

To be more precise, a zoom-in shows "Content Plan AND Deliverables" (basically this is a 32-page pitch for the business side of things based on where they stand now).

Re: Dany Garcia: "We are months from hitting the field..."

Perhaps they can play a mini season of 6 games using a hybrid of XFL-CFL rules before the merger/partnership happens. With Redbirds new acquire I'm sure the Television and streaming talk will start heating up now. The problem is that it's too late to secure a TV contract for this season at this poi...

Re: Article: Did the new spring FL get permission to use the USFL name?

I think he confused the rights to the tape library with the rights to the names and is now trying to save face. Right. I believe Mike Tollin owns the USFL tape library. (He did the Small Potatoes documentary for 30 for 30.) There's some copyrighted material in there that won't expire until a centur...
