Who hasn’t injured themselves while celebrating a big win? Certainly not XFL co-owner Dany Garcia.

From her husband Dave Rienzi’s gym, Rienzi Strength and Conditioning, Orlando, Dany Garcia took to Instagram to reveal how she tore her calf muscle while celebrating the news that her group was successful in purchasing the XFL.

“One moment I’m running towards Dave and I’m jumping up and down yelling ‘I got it! I got it!’ The next moment I’m on the floor with a torn calf muscle,” Dany explained.

Dany also pointed out how she has been on the mend since the injury, and how she wanted to heal and reassess her fitness for what she described as a busy time coming up in her life.

“In fact, I have been recovering these past eight weeks, and also reassessing. Because, you know, truthfully setbacks are moments for reassessing. And I recognize that, number one I’m going to be busier than ever. And secondly, I want muscles that can show and go.”

Dany has pledged to incorporate new training techniques and diet in her life. However, the plan for the XFL was not revealed. Did you think it would be?

It should be noted that Dany, a self-professed fan of the league, was wearing a brand-new-ish XFL cap. Take that any way you want.
