Episode 31 – XFL taking stock and looking forward – Greg Parks

With the COVID-19 pandemic causing governments to dictate regulations regarding public gatherings, and considering the health and safety of XFL players, coaches and staffs, the XFL had no choice but to officially cancel the remainder of their 2020 season. To discuss the present situation, and talk about the future, host Mark Nelson has invited Tampa Bay Vipers team reporter Greg Parks to the podcast. Greg is a regular visitor to this podcast, and we always enjoy his football knowledge, and his keen memory of players, and their playing history. It was kind of bitter/sweet to hear that QB PJ Walker was the first XFL player to sign with an NFL team! Happy for him but sad we will never get to see him play again in the XFL. He signed with Carolina and since they currently have four other QB’s on their roster….you really have to wonder how much playing time her will receive. I know the money in the XFL does not compare to what he will make in the NFL but if I were a player, I would much rather play…than to waste my career rotting on some NFL teams bench.
