Re: Future XFL Expansion

So LeoNY, what do you think the XFL should do with a team that is struggling in its market? Does the whole league (aka Vince) just let the bleeding continue? If so, for how long? What if it is only one team that is struggling and the others are all doing respectably? If you were in Vince's or Luck'...

Re: Next Monday December 30th is a key NFL Day

Nah, I'd bet on that still happening. League officials have been hearing from practice squad guys that want to play in the league and it would only be fair to have a draft for those kinds of guys.(or at least that's what they say) If an XFL team wants a practice squad guy from Baltimore or New Engl...

Re: Future XFL Expansion

XFL has two possible expansion (more or less) target types... Top 15 TV markets only - of which they already have 7. Or they can target top 35-16 TV markets w/o NFL and at least one of the these MLB/NHL/NBA. The shift in focus here is to anchor the league with some teams in cities starved for FB wit...

Re: Future XFL Expansion

My thoughts is I think expansion is a given that is going to happen, I think the soonest would be after year two as long they have success after two years in the current market. Meaning year one they do well and after year one they can maintain the interest if not increase it in season two. If they...

Re: Is there an opening for another pro football league to start up?

There is certainly a time zone for a small league in the late May - 1st week in August time frame. There is a dead zone of sports programming in June-1st week-Aug that would be welcome by TV nets looking for Sports programming.

Popular Buccanneer Fan blogger site: JOE BUCS FAN has article on XFL TB Vipers. Targeting NFL locan news/blogger and Fan based websites is a great way to target big time FB fans locally... https://www.joebucsfan.com/2019/12/key-happenings-at-tuesdays-tampa-bay-vipers-practice/ ** Minicamp practice N...

Re: LA Wildcats Cut Shawn Oakman

For what it's worth a fan claiming to have some inside knowledge in the Wildcats fans Facebook group said Oakman had started some fights in the locker room. Moss decided he was too toxic to keep on the team. Based on the connections this fan seems to have I think this is a fairly credible claim. If...

Re: XFL TV Ratings prediction by Sports Business Journal

I’d personally predict 3-3.5 million for the debut broadcasts. I agree with the 1.5 million average though. I’d think ESPN would be around 1 million though, and 750,000 for FS1. FS1 is in fewer homes, and isn’t as popular as ESPN. *Guess I’m wrong. ESPN is in around 87 million households and FS1 is...

Re: XFL Official Rule Book Coming Next Week, What Can Fans Expect

The league you would prefer versus the league we get. For every 5 people that like the overtime idea. There will be five who don’t. There will be people who will be happy to see the extra point go while there will be others who don’t. Impossible to please everyone with changes. Do the changes make ...
