Re: a legit expansion rumor?

It's definitely an option. What else is going on there? But it's probably not a great fit for the XFL for the same reason it wasn't a great fit for MLS: not close to downtown. Sort of similar to the Wildcats in Dignity Health vs. (hopefully) Banc of California.

Re: What are your favorite football movies?

Off the top of my head, if I'm taking four to a desert island: Friday Night Lights (the film), The Longest Yard (the original), Any Given Sunday, and The Replacements.

They said no events over 50 people.
If there aren't spectators, it's not an in-person event. It's a business producing its product, which they said was exempt.

We've literally come full circle, so we can agree to disagree. Regardless, there will surely be new guidance when the time comes.

The press release from the CDC says sporting events.
Yeah, in the context of the spectators attending. Not the sporting event itself.

This recommendation does not apply to the day to day operation of organizations such as schools, institutes of higher learning, or businesses.

Re: Episode 30 - 2020 XFL Regular Season Canceled - Mike Mitchell

Great episode. As good as he is a writer and on Twitter, I think audio is Mike Mitchell's best medium. I don't think it's a given that PJ Walker leaves. Like Mike said, the AAF had two matriculate: Garrett Gilbert and Josh Wolford. Both are making less than a million. I think something like a $2M of...

WWE's finding a contingency plan
I'd hope so. It seems pretty clear the event isn't going to be staged as planned; the only question is who cancels it. WWE and the county are playing a public game of chicken. Maybe everyone will understand it's just business, but maybe not.

Re: Wildcats seeking to play in Banc of California Stadium

Worth watching is the WWE-Hillsborough County standoff over Wrestlemania. Both are acting like the onus is on the other party to cancel, for what I assume are monetary reasons. https://www.espn.com/wwe/story/_/id/28900441/wrestlemania-36-jeopardy-hillsborough-county-says-pull-plug If that relationsh...
