Re: So do you think the XFL Champ could beat the Cleveland Browns or NCAA Champion?

There would be an inherent disadvantage to the team that has to play by the other league's rules; regardless of which way it went.

Re: Do you guys like the constant NFL references during XFL Games?

I don't mind as long as it serves a purpose. I think that a player who is former NFL or CFL or drafted to either league or whatever, helps to legitimize the XFL. As long as it is done tastefully and for a reason (background, clarity, re-familiarization etc.) and it isn't constant, I'm OK with it.

LeoNY, you bring up a great point. Football, from Little Man to the NFL is a pyramid and not everyone, no matter how gifted, can make it to the top level. Whether people believe it or not, there are plenty of college players who have the skill, drive, and tenacity to play at the pro level - IF GIVEN...

Re: B J Daniels

I couldn't agree more - for all the good that does us. Good analogy about expansion but it won't cut it like it would in the NFL. Too much, in terms of the league's success depends on putting a decent if not quality product on the field immediately. That may not be fair but it is what it is. Being a...

Re: B J Daniels

I went back and watch Silvers' presser; he is saying all of the right things but still not getting the job done. I appreciate that he takes ownership of the offense's problems but that is clearly not enough.

Re: B J Daniels

Silvers has proven, thus far, incapable of putting together more than a half of good football. We are roughly 1/3 of the way through the season and it is time to try something else. Sit him down, let him think about it, and give Daniels a shot. A QB who cannot play consistently for an entire game is...

Re: Press Release: Houston to Host 2020 XFL Championship Game

I have never been a fan of the big half time shows, I really dislike them. How about TV broadcasting a "The 2020 XFL in Review"? A show playing all of the inaugural season's highlights would be terrific. It could be shown on the host stadium's diamond vision (or whatever they have). I suppose they m...

Re: Press Release: Houston to Host 2020 XFL Championship Game

A neutral venue only make sense and it may well be that. You can't know early enough who the team with the best record to qualify for the championship game will be - you can only guess. Most of the potential sites need to be booked well in advance and it's a nice payback for Houston having "hosted" ...
