Re: VM lists reasons for OL firing- PFT

I think he'll settle for the $2.8mm which he has a much better argument and that will end this... If I were luck, I wouldn't settle for anything less than say 50% of the contract. Personal guarantee of the contract (which I think is new news) changes everything. I'm guessing (no first hand knowledg...

Re: OL, Week 6, VM and the XFL bankruptcy

VM certainly can be angry all he wants, but whether or not they went forward with one more week is sort of a moot point. Within a week or two of the games being cancelled was when the recommendations on gatherings turned into full on shelter-in-place orders, and that would've been the ballgame. Bes...

Re: Oliver Luck sues Vince McMahon

I can only imagine Vince could’ve suspected this was coming. No ones going to take a firing voiding maybe 15 or so million or more (or whatever that prorated share would be of the assets in bankruptcy) lying down. It’ll be interesting to see what the cited cause for termination was when that info fi...

Re: Oliver Luck sues Vince McMahon

I am ashamed that I wrote an article that said Vince McMahon always pays his bills. Come on who pays a guy 5 years for 2 years work. Its called Out-Of-Business. It's called guaranteed contract. Head Coaches and GMs get fired and received "go away money," all the time and get paid out for the years ...

Re: Buyers have apparently shown interest in purchasing the XFL

Just an opinion on what I think of the potential fallout on the NFL for all seems business as usual for now with teams still willing to invest in millions of dollars contracts for it's players and I'm wondering if that will be sustained....the NFL doesn't so much depend on it's gate as much as thei...

Re: XFL Files for Bankruptcy

In case anyone needed confirmation, the declaration submitted to the court by Jeffery Pollack makes it crystal clear: the pandemic is what killed the league. The league estimates it lost out on $27 million by losing half the regular season, to make no mention of the playoffs. That, coupled with the...

Re: XFL Terminates All Employees

Aside from the reasons mentioned is the very real possibility of other sports delaying their starts for the upcoming year. At this point the NFLseems gung ho on business as usual, but not sure the feasability of that since there's no way of knowing whether teams will actually be able to have trainin...

Re: The 2021 XFL Season: Will it happen or not?

Barring something entirely unforeseen, right now I'd have a pretty high confidence level the XFL will be back as normal in 2021. Realistically I think you're looking at six months from now to make a go or no-go decision, which is a pretty long run for things to flatten. The hope is that it's ample t...

PFT’s reporting Nick Moore, who was Tampa Bay’s long snapper, has signed with the Ravens.
