Re: The XFL looking to eliminate the kneel down with new clock rule

I am absolutely for the elimination of the kneel down. To me, it’s a meaningless play that goes against the competitive nature of games. This is a reimagining that I am down with. How you get there is the intriguing part. There are many sides to this. I have to see it in play. There’s no doubt that...

Re: The XFL looking to eliminate the kneel down with new clock rule

I don't like this. Are fumbles going to be considered dead behind the LOS? One of the best parts of the rule could have been every ball behind the LOS is live and would eliminate "Tuck Rule" and "Empty Hand" questions. What about lateral pitches or option pitches? Sounds like both will be incomplet...

Re: The XFL looking to eliminate the kneel down with new clock rule

I'm not on board. We already have a "comeback period" -- it's called the two minute drill, it's one of football's greatest features, and it's now been fundamentally altered. This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. They could have just said when the half or game came be mathematically en...

Re: The XFL looking to eliminate the kneel down with new clock rule

A drop of any pass behind the line of scrimmage will be ruled an incomplete pass, not a fumble. The XFL wants to encourage coaches to try such plays, so by ruling drops behind the line of scrimmage as incompletions, it has reduced some of the potential risk. I don't like this. Are fumbles going to ...

https://twitter.com/TB_Times/status/1145624857729650688?s=20 This is an article today from The Tampa Bay Times, written by Thomas Bassinger. It goes over the forward pass rule behind the line of scrimmage. As well as the 3 point conversion and elimination of extra points. The intriguing part in the...

Re: Replay

You want to keep games to two and a half to three hours...... here's a revolutionary idea that I don't think any millennial has ever seen before........no replay. Nothing creates more contorversy than a bad call that screws your team over.....and it isn't reviewed because there isn't any. That's on...

Looks like Seattle Surge was an early hopeful for the NHL team...with mostly empty facebook and twitter pages.
