Re: Which Cities Will Be Left For The XFL?

Word is they're playing at UCF's stadium, rather than Camping World Stadium (aka the Citrus Bowl). Interesting choice to rent the college's stadium. There goes my hopes of the Orlando Rage returning. If rumors are true that San Diego and Memphis were already marked down on AAF's website, that means...

Re: Uh oh

It's just a matter of WWE releasing the rights to the logos/names. Why that wasn't done first.... who knows. But it doesn't look good for that fact to be revealed. Though, the AAF's twitter presence is a bit lacking. The few number of retweets or likes to any of their announcements, etc, aren't grea...

Wild Hypothesis Time

Okay, so news of the AAF came out of nowhere for most. And based on some trademark filings, etc, it's clear that the AAF, though maybe discussed for a while, only came into being shortly after the XFL announcement. Here's the thoughts I have on it. One, Vince and Ebersol have probably talked about w...

Ebersol is planning his own league to start next year to beat the XFL. Already planning games on CBS and CBS Sports Network and their app.

Could this be the reason for XFL silence?

Conversation died here... What's up next?

Let's speculate. What news comes out next? City or stadium talk? Rule changes? Broadcast rumors? More player suggestions? What's the next big thing to happen? I think a stadium deal will happen before the first definitive rule change announcement. Possibly soon. I. E., less than a month from now.

Re: Stadium Discussion - Large or small Venue

Cardinal Stadium is being demolished. Unsafe and basically waiting for the reaper. DC could almost say the same with RFK. DC United moved out and start out Audi Field later this year. DC also had a poor support for USFL years ago. Wichita is a possibility for the future but I doubt year 1. Ive advoc...

Re: Rivalries?

Here Are Some: San Diego vs San Francisco New York vs Pennsylvania Oklahoma vs Texas Ohio vs St Louis Just some extra to think about, not that some of these locations are likely to get a team. Ohio has no hatred for St. Louis at all. And probably vice versa. Ny-pa would only be if it's Philadelphia...

Re: Stadium Discussion - Large or small Venue

Smaller is better. However if there is success and in a few years you can draw 30-40k and you're in 15-20k stadiums, you're stuck. Stadium expansion is doubtful for XFL and you'd need to find another venue. Such as Omaha, Portland, etc.so to handle demand you either raise prices or leave money on th...
