Re: Which Cities Will Be Left For The XFL?

Salt Lake City is the northern most team. And east of the Mississippi the northern most is.... Memphis? Plenty of spots for XFL. Ohio, Syracuse, Hartford, DC, Philly, North or south Carolina. Albuquerque, Tucson, Oakland, Las Vegas, Portland, LA, New Orleans, Nashville, St. Louis, etc. I still can't...

Re: Which Cities Will Be Left For The XFL?

Five down. Still curious if St. Louis or San Diego get a team. So Cal was stated early on. And not much deviation from the initial leak. Guessing San Diego and a Texas city (San Antonio?) and somewhere northeast.

Re: Which Cities Will Be Left For The XFL?

Odd choice. Atlanta United is going to be late season competition for the sports dollar and is drawing twice or more what GSS can hold. In a much nicer venue. But it does create an instant rivalry for Orlando.

Re: Which Cities Will Be Left For The XFL?

Word is they're playing at UCF's stadium, rather than Camping World Stadium (aka the Citrus Bowl). Interesting choice to rent the college's stadium. There goes my hopes of the Orlando Rage returning. If rumors are true that San Diego and Memphis were already marked down on AAF's website, that means...

Re: Uh oh

It's just a matter of WWE releasing the rights to the logos/names. Why that wasn't done first.... who knows. But it doesn't look good for that fact to be revealed. Though, the AAF's twitter presence is a bit lacking. The few number of retweets or likes to any of their announcements, etc, aren't grea...

Wild Hypothesis Time

Okay, so news of the AAF came out of nowhere for most. And based on some trademark filings, etc, it's clear that the AAF, though maybe discussed for a while, only came into being shortly after the XFL announcement. Here's the thoughts I have on it. One, Vince and Ebersol have probably talked about w...

Ebersol is planning his own league to start next year to beat the XFL. Already planning games on CBS and CBS Sports Network and their app.

Could this be the reason for XFL silence?

Conversation died here... What's up next?

Let's speculate. What news comes out next? City or stadium talk? Rule changes? Broadcast rumors? More player suggestions? What's the next big thing to happen? I think a stadium deal will happen before the first definitive rule change announcement. Possibly soon. I. E., less than a month from now.
