Re: Uh oh

We are liable to see some activity from the XFL now.

Re: Conversation died here... What's up next?

I believe the XFL will hire front-office staff next. Maybe hire some big names and make a splash.

Re: Syracuse University Student lobbies for an XFL team. Will this work?

The amount of grassroots lobbying occurring right now is remarkable. I’m sure the XFL will take notice, but there must be other factors that will be considered.

Lobbying can’t hurt, but it may not help.

Syracuse University Student lobbies for an XFL team. Will this work?

There is an interesting article describing how a Syracuse University student is lobbying for the XFL to put a team in Syracuse. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2018/02/syracuse_freshman_campaigns_to_bring_xfl_football_team_to_the_carrier_dome.html My question is: will this work? Do you think ...

Re: What will the "X" stand for this time?

I wonder what will happen when they create a more detailed marketing plan for the league. Will the "X" still stand for "Xtra"?

You might recall in XFL 1.0, the X originally stood for "Extreme", but later it was changed to say that the X didn't stand for anything.

What will the "X" stand for this time?

https://frinkiac.com/video/S13E13/zy-WCDHyiyV-zSbChg-Th-XUN-k=.gif In XFL 1.0 the "X" stood for "extreme". (I posted a gif of Homer to make my point) I wonder what the "X" will stand for in XFL 2.0, as this is clearly a reboot, and the "xtreme" label seems to have been dropped. Any ideas or suggest...

Re: XFL Daily Links Thread

Player safety isn’t going away. It’s getting bigger, especially with all the damning concussion studies happening.

Re: Superbowl or Superbore????

Yes, it was a good game. Lots of excitement and tons of drama. It’s the “stupid” drama, like the lengthy debate over whether it was a TD or not a TD, that hurts the league. I think people are tired of it. (I am) 😒

Re: Fan base will come from XFL cities

I think this was largely true during XFL 1.0. The XFL’s biggest boosters came from the places where the teams were. Once they announce some team cities we will all see the fan base build.

Re: XFL in Fargo

Fargo might have a stadium, and great football fans, but they certainly lack the population.
