Re: AAF Teams Names
So many leagues have come and gone without even launching. Allegedly the owner of the NAFL duped some investor out of a million dollars, never intending to actually launch a football league. 2019/2020 is crazy right now for upstart pro leagues. You have the XFL and AAF. You also have The American P...

Re: AAF Teams Names
Firefighters. The ones who battle the wildfires are called Hotshots. That's why they have the fireman logo. Response out here has been positive. The news seemed to like it. Hotshots are held in esteem out here, and if the league takes off ..alot of firefighters might get a kick outta that. I think ...

Re: AAF Teams Names
I'm not impressed with these choices but like parts of most. Here are my rankings based on name, logo, and video: Apollos - I like the logo. I would like to see a mirror image for the other side of the helmet. I would rather the name be something like the Arrows (as in Apollos Arrows). Iron - I like...

Re: AAF Rosters-QB's
That is a little over $80,000 per year. I think the XFL's minimum is $75,000/year with the door open to negotiate much higher for players with more notoriety. I think this is fine. The available talent will be comparable even if the AAF is beating Vince's minimum about by 5 grand or so. He will allo...

Re: AAF Teams Names
I think the XFL will do better ;) I think the XFL will do better as well because they will go for a healthy mix a large markets and medium markets. I do not like Fleet, Legends, or Hotshots, and Apollos is a downright awful name. The AAF has screwed up right out of the gate. I wonder if they are ge...

XFL Sends Letter to Agents Warning About Signing Other Contracts
As soon as I saw that the AAF was giving players 3 year contracts, I knew that was designed to undermine the XFL. The XFL is indicating they will have better benefit packages. Also, the AAF probably won't even operate for 3 years, but if they were to "suspend" league operations (before admitting the...

I am only interested in custom jerseys if they have a team close to my location.

Re: Stadium Discussion - Large or small Venue
The perception of the first XFL was poor and not helped by how badly things looked on tv. Except SF nobody averaged over 30K and 2 teams had less than 20K on average. I think playing in smaller venues would be better and create more demand. there is no doubt to me these teams can draw 30-40K, but i...

Re: Rule Changes: What Do You Think?
I think they should remove the intentional grounding penalty. That penalty is not always called consistently because it depends on the referees gauging whether or not the quarterback was inside or outside the pocket and whether or not there was a receiver in the area. Referees often judge it incorre...
