Re: Jim Jeffcoat to coach XFL Dallas Defensive Line

Hmm. Jeffcoat was with the AAF last year coaching DL for the Apollos. Certainly it seems like a logical hire. You have to give Stoops credit.

Re: Final Team Names Prediction List

Complete guess, with the knowledge that I'm probably going to be wrong: New Jersey Tornadoes (early 20th century team that was briefly in the NFL) Washington Warships (recalling the old Civil War boats the Monitor and the Merrimack) Tampa Bay Sun (Florida's the Sunshine State) St. Louis Speed (Saint...

Re: Expansion 2021?

I feel like San Diego doesn't make sense because San Francisco is next in line. I can't see them expand to 3 California teams in 2021. Just like I can't see them expand to 3 Texas teams. 2 Florida teams is plausible but I think San Francisco and the Midwest is a priority, not San Diego. California'...

Re: Expansion 2021?

If the league expands to 10 teams I think we'd see teams in Philly and Chicago. If it expands to 12 teams I think we'd see Philly, Chicago, San Diego, and either San Antonio, Orlando, or maybe Sacramento. Chicago? Look, there's a reason Chicago didn't get one this time around despite being market #...

Re: Expansion 2021?

Just curious is there any shot for expansion if the league last past the 1st year? I've heard that they are looking at Birmingham, Orlando, San Antonio , and San Diego. Are those the cities that they would be looking at because those are the most successful cities in the AAF? Seeing that the XFL lo...

Re: Ranking The XFL’s Eight Head Coaches

Pep has a real chance because of his ties to DC, to grow in popularity. There's one point, the NJ.com article makes that I am on board with. There's potential for Pep to become a head coach in The NFL or even college. Provided that his XFL gig goes well. One of my personal favorite hires, and no di...

Re: Ranking The XFL’s Eight Head Coaches

Reading the comments here I don't think your XFL LA bias got in the way here. Moss is a leader of men, his team is bound to be a gritty group. Hayes is more unproven IMO. Everybody's got him at 8. Plus, you look at Moss's resume and he was second-in-command under McCarthy at Green Bay and a very st...

I heard that the Freedom Football League needs $150 million to launch. Just where exactly will they get that $150 million?
Maybe they can ask Tom Dundon.

Re: Will the XFL’s big time from the beginning strategy pay off?

Let’s put it this way. After all the failures of other leagues, this is the last chance for a league not named the NFL or CFL to have a legitimate chance. If this fails with all the tv support and preparation, then what will work? They have to swing for the fences because the bunting (AAF) and regu...

Re: Future XFL Cities- Positives and Negatives

Here is something to ponder for future International expansion: - Many posters on the CFL's official message board believe that the Montreal Alouettes will eventually fold. I doubt it. The only reason that it's in any trouble right now is because their owner, Bob Wetenhall, is withdrawing from the ...
